The Forbidden City at the Oriental Art Museum

You can experience the virtual reality application of the Forbidden City in Beijing to go and turn inside at the Oriental Art Museum of Turin: that’s something new for visitors of Italian museums.

To get into this reality should be worn multimedia Ld viewers combined with platforms and joypad similar to those used for video game consoles, but wireless.

An innovative project (whose technology is called Oculus Rift) between Turin Museum and Ld Multimedia Foundation, Turin startup, which is the European leader in virtual reality scenarios production, which will allow to visit the Mao in thrilling fashion.

In the virtual room, set up in the lounge Mazzonis, at the first floor of the museum, visitors can take a space-time travel in the Forbidden City in Beijing, wich was the headquarters of imperial power of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it also was the architectural masterpiece and monument symbol of China. You can walk through the square, you can go up the stairs leading to the terrace where stands the Palace of Supreme Harmony, to get up to the throne, walking over the imperial carpet of the nine dragons. Places that are also closely tied to the current exhibition “The dragon and the golden flower”.
